Small but mighty January 14, 2010 C. Concepcion (San Leandro, CA) The product is smaller than I thought it would be but it can power my laptop and cellphone. It works great so far except for noticeable noise upon powering on (it might have an internal fan). The on/off button helps instead of pulling the plug and dropping something that might cause an accident when you're driving.
Speedy service. January 7, 2010 John R. Smith (Gateway City) Recieved in a speedy fashion. Was a gift for my son. He says it work great. Glad I got it at Amazon.
Good, would buy again. Only downside is audio hum January 3, 2010 T. McCarty 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Does what I wanted it to do - lets me use laptop on long road trips off of the car's 12V DC plug. Only downside is that my Ipod makes a pretty bad audio hum when I listen to it while charging it from the inverter's AC power. But that's probably an issue with the Ipod and any modified sine wave inverter.
It's a keeper! December 26, 2009 J. SCHOFIELD This is a great little gadget, exactly what I was looking for. Many times my cell phone runs down or my son's DS dies and I don't have a car charger for them. Instead of spending $20-$30 on car chargers for everything I bought this and I can use the standard charger, works great! I haven't used the USB, but if I had to charge my IPod I could do that as well!
Great Pocket Inverter! November 25, 2009 Jon Gray (Madison, WI USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I use this to power my Dell D810 laptop and Cellular KR2 router while on the road. Together they draw about 75 watts@120v while charging the battery and this inverter handles it with ease. It's also small enough to take with you in a laptop bag.
It does run warm to hot. The first few times it gave off a 'hot-electronics' odor and I thought it may go 'poof' but never did. Just be sure to give it enough air circulation.
