1 out of 5 stars wore a hole through before 20,000 miles   March 7, 2010

the floor mat on the drivers side has a hole in it where my heel rests under the gas pedal. the material is so poor that this happened before 20,000 miles. the carpet underneath is now a mix of road salt and mud cement. buy an aftermarket brand instead of the honda stuff. I'm buying weathertechs.

the mat on the passenger side also slips out of place very easily. no comment about back seat mats because they're not used often, but are of same material so I can't imagine they'd hold up to kids for long.

4 out of 5 stars Read Instructions Carefully   December 23, 2009

The installation of the driver's mat is slightly tricky. Read the instructions carefully, look at the mat, then read the instructions again. You want to cut two small slits in the carpeting, and make sure you don't let them connect. The little clip has to loop through the piece of carpet between the two slits, and that's what will hold the mat in place. To figure out where to cut the slits, put the mat in place, then feel around underneath it for a slight dimple in the floor, under the carpet. That's where you'll cut. The rest of the job is fairly straightforward.

For the other mats, just plop them in place. The rear ones have little tabs that slide under the door trim. I was able to pry the trim up with my fingers far enough to slide the tab under it.

Overall, this is a great product. I've had both carpeted and rubber mats in cars, and strongly prefer the rubber. It's much more durable, and of course it's a lot easier to clean. Honda should include these mats as a standard item in this wonderful little car.
